Day 176 - 17th September 2007

This is a pretty poor picture for a reason. I'm not sure if you can make out the long pipe trailing from the back end of a lorry; but you might be able to recognise what it is. That's right, the septic tank got emptied today; and the smell of human excrement still lingers in my nostrils.
I didn't want anything too gross as a picture, so I went for this one; one of the better ones. I felt an unprecedented sympathy for the six men that do this day-in day-out in the blazing sun for a living; someone out there must really hate them.
Otherwise, France kicked some Namibian backside last night in the rugby; rather unsurprisingly I thought, but they seemed overjoyed about it. The celebrations seemed somewhat strange to me, Namibia are one of the worst, if not the worst side in the cup and they went down to 14 men after only 10 minutes; why are the French so happy they managed to win?
Mosquitoes are still rife tonight yet sleeping with the window closed is not an option; this means I have to stop typing, I am being eaten alive!
