Anyone who has visited France will know of the local game called boules. Well, a variation of this, petanque, is what gets played here in the south and today I managed to find an instruction video in the office.As you can see, it's a glamorous sport; cool, modern, cutting edge, definitely one for the kids. If you have kids with heavily bejewelled fingers and rainbow T-shirts you handed down to them from 1979. Let's not forget the other element, the mullet lurking in there; it may not seem 100% mullety in the picture, but believe me this man has a great one on him. This serves to shield his neck from the sun.
I was wondering who the hell would watch such a man on TV when I noticed that this particular cassette was still wrapped, dating back from 1988; no one has watched it since I was born! Anyway, it was back to the office today, and back to the boredom of filing plans. Tomorrow, who knows what will happen?
