France have just beaten Ireland by a pretty good score, they had to win else they'd have been out of the cup. This, I would have thought, would make everybody happy, and it has, but I had never realised before just how smug the French can be!The knowing looks and patronising smiles are really quite hypocritical considering that this is nation that was so sure of losing; you'd think they'd be breathing a sigh of relief!
Ireland played quite well, but the French were on form and the best team won. Otherwise, nothing much else happened today; Friday is barely a half day in France so work wasn't exactly strenuous.
