It's been a bad day for me, but I'll stop complaining right now. It appears people are getting slaughtered in the streets of Tibet for standing up to the Chinese government - the Chinese government have attempted to launch a ridiculous attack on the Dalai Lama; blaming the most peaceful man on Earth and forcing him into exile isn't a good way to handle foreign policy.Nothing much happened to me, so I thought I'd give this a mention. Also in the news, British director Anthony Minghella has died aged 54; if you don't know who he is - he directed films like 'Cold Mountain' and 'The Talented Mr. Ripley', a true genius to die so young.
Also, rather less of a shock, the writer and inventor of the satellite Sir Arthur C Clarke died aged 90 today. No beautiful sunsets, no fancy pictures; it's only on bleak days like these that we realise how good the rest of life is.
