Yes indeed ladies and gentlemen – it’s a corsa cabriolet. Wisely accepted as being the height of taste, the DIY drop top is a particularly good feature, well adapted for the Lancaster weather. Also, it’s brilliant if you don’t like your passenger – you wouldn’t be able to hear them talking to you during any one of the frequent downpours. In fact, you wouldn’t be able to hear anything at all through the pissing rain and gale force winds.

I don’t know whose choice this was, and I can’t decide whether to take the piss, or admire the owner. There’s something so British about the fact that we own the most convertible cars in the whole of Europe, and yet we get such shit weather; I guess it’s a sort of stiff upper lip optimism – by all means an important quality.

However, it’s a Corsa with a canvas roof. In other words, it’s completely bloody ridiculous, cold and impractical.
