I promised nothing special and today’s picture is just that.
On day 1000 – I feel as though I should have a retrospective, but I’m not sure I can be bothered to write an autobiography at this hour. A lot has happened since I started this though – the pictures have got a lot bigger, the site has changed x number of times, this is the second laptop I’m writing on, and the fourth camera I’ve taken pictures with.
When I started I was a teenager – it’s been a while since I was one of those. I’ve been to university for two years, which I had no idea I’d be doing on day 1 and I’m living on a Spanish island, which I also couldn’t see coming back then…
I won’t go on – it’s getting even more self indulgent than normal, and that’s no mean feat. It is interesting to go back over those 1000 pictures though, I should do a ‘best of’ sometime, but I fear there wouldn’t be much to go in there!
One last thing, I must extend a rare but warm thank you to yourself, the reader, I happen to know, through evil government sponsored spy technology, that there are quite a few of you out there. Please don’t feel you have to continue reading. I’m so self obsessed I’d carry on even if I knew no one was to ever go back to the site, but it is quite reassuring to hear from people, normal people, that is – particularly when I’m on this rock in the med not entirely sure of what’s going on around me…
