Something had been bugging me for a while here – I’d been feeling cramped, slightly penned in. Then it dawned on me – the curtains are taking up a whole lot of space here for such a small room. So, I took them down.
They were horrible, moth eaten and drab. In fact, the moth damage was worse then I thought – they started to disintegrate as the slightest breeze. Not good for something that hangs by a window. They’re gone now and it feels good, it feels open and slightly airier. There’s an awning outside so if the light gets too much I can just use that, but I always sleep curtains open anyway – I like the natural light coming in.
I had to go through the whole quest for gas once again today – took an hour, which is only a third of the time it took me last time, but still quite a while. For our American cousins, when I say gas I mean gas, not petrol. Although I got some of that too. Whilst riding the energy wave I thought I might as well get some batteries to top it all off.
